The research organization is bringing more than 20 years of experience in the field of profile extrusion and numerical simulations in the field of profile extrusion. Moreover, the UMinho team brings also expertise in the area of HPC, being one of the entities in the coordination of the Minho Advanced Computer Center (MACC), which comprises two supercomputers, Bob (800 compute nodes and 12800 cores) and Deucalion (a supercomputer supported by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, a 10 petaflops state-of-the-art system, that will be inaugurated in January 2022).
