FF4EuroHPC Team members inspired the visitors at EUROCC/CASTIEL Conference in Montenegro

The international scientific and academic conference in the field of high - performance computing (HPC), called "EuroCC/CASTIEL", was held from September 6 to 9 in Bečići, Montenegro. The conference is realized within the framework of the EuroCC project - National Competence Centers in the Framework of EuroHPC that deals with high performance computing. Due to the pandemic, this is the first in - person conference two years after the start of the project. The conference brought together over 200 researchers fr om prestigious European universities and institutes, from 33 countries, as well as around 500 people that followed the conference through Live stream on YouTube, during the days that it was open for public.

On the 3rd day of event the FF4EuroHPC Session was held, moderated by Tina Crnigoj Marc from Arctur, a project communication lead, who opened the session by introducing the project. The two inspiring Success Stories were presented -  Claudio Arlandini, CINECA, presented the inspiring success story explaining how partners developed the inovative solution for marine litter detection, identification and collection.

Stevan Čakić, University of Donja Gorica, introduced how partners combine different technologies such as HPC, deep learning, quantum computing
and IoT to develop advances smart farming solution helping to boost food production and decrease costs for farmers and modelling of poultry farms.
