The kick-off meeting for experiment partners was held during a 3-day event from 5th - 7th April. Project partners welcomed all 78 experiment partners from 22 European countries who successfully submitted their proposals in the second Open Call and were selected for funding.

26 high-quality, innovative experiments were selected based on their impact, the soundness of the technical concept, the quality of the proposing consortium and the deployment of requested resources. The EUR 8 million funding budget is dedicated to supporting Experiment partners.

The work on experiments started on March 1st and will be running for a maximum of 15 monthsCESGA as a lead partner of the experiment oversight work package will ensure that the experiments proceed in line with their objectives and also the broader objectives of the project.

During the event, the role of experiments in the project was presented and the larger view on EuroHPC strategy and FF4EuroHPC role was highlighted. Furthermore, the EuroCC project and the role of NCCs were presented to participants as the NCCs can encourage the SMEs for HPC use and drive innovations. Experiment partners presented their innovative ideas that will be developed with the help of HPC, HPDA, AI and ML during their experiments. If the experiment succeeds, it will become a success story that will be used for inspiring the community.

Project partners wish all the best to experiment partners and are looking forward to creating a new tranche of success stories that will highlight the lessons learned, benefits HPC brings to business and the social impact of the experiment.
